The ceremony was officiated by Council Chairman Ir Dr Conrad Wong; President Prof. Paul Lam Kwan-sing; the Hon. Kenneth Fok Kai-kong, Chairman of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council and Member of the Legislative Council; Mr Raistlin Lau Chun, Under Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of the HKSAR Government; the Hon. Bernard Charnwut Chan, then Vice Chairman (current Chairman) of the Board of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority; and Dr the Hon. Allan Zeman, Member of WestK Enterprise Limited and Chairman of the Lan Kwai Fong Group; and Ms Deborah LaVine, Dean of the School of Filmmaking, University of North Carolina School of the Arts. They were joined by Prof. Roger Scully, HKMU Dean of Arts and Social Sciences and Prof. Eva Man Kit-wah, Chief Organiser of the WUAA and HKMU Chair Professor of Humanities.
