都大舉行新校舍動土典禮 HKMU holds groundbreaking ceremony for new campus 都大於 6 月 9 日就何文田常盛街與佛光街交界斜坡用地的新校舍大樓舉行動土典禮，標誌着大學 發展邁向重要里程。新大樓定位為「社區健康樞紐」，將是都大為香港以至國家培育卓越專業人 才、促進跨學科學習的教研據點，亦是大學推展社區健康教育與服務的重要平台。 動土典禮由香港特區政府政務司司長陳國基先生、都大副校監方正博士、校董會主席黃天祥博士 工程師、伍絜宜慈善基金秘書伍步謙博士、董事伍尚匡先生、立法會教育事務委員會主席劉智鵬 議員，以及校長林群聲教授一同主禮，並由近 200 名嘉賓和師生共同見證。 新校舍樓高 19 層，總樓面面積約 31,770 平方米，將設有綜合健康中心、跨學科研究中心、多用 途演藝廳、多媒體演講廳教室、圖書館、平台花園等先進設施。新大樓其中兩座無障礙行人天橋 將開放予公眾使用，連接都大正校園與賽馬會健康護理學院，為大學及鄰近社區提供便捷通道和 提升道路安全。新校舍預計於 2031/32 學年起陸續投入運作。 HKMU held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new campus on a slope site at the junction of Sheung Shing Street and Fat Kwong Street in Ho Man Tin on 9 June, marking a significant milestone for the University’s development. Positioned as “A Hub for Community Health and Wellness”, the new campus will serve as a teaching and research base for HKMU to nurture outstanding professionals for Hong Kong and the nation, advance interdisciplinary education, and serve as a vital platform for HKMU to promote community health education and services. The ceremony was officiated by the Hon. Chan Kwok-ki, Chief Secretary for Administration of the HKSAR Government; Dr Eddy Fong Ching, HKMU Pro-Chancellor; Ir Dr Conrad Wong Tin-cheung, HKMU Council Chairman; Dr Philip Wu Po-him, Secretary of the Wu Jieh Yee Charitable Foundation; Mr Jason Wu Shang-hong, Governor of the Wu Jieh Yee Charitable Foundation; Prof. the Hon. Lau Chi-pang, Chairman of the Legislative Council Panel on Education; and HKMU President Prof. Paul Lam Kwan-sing. About 200 guests, faculty members and students witnessed the official launch of the project. The new 19‑storey academic complex, with a gross floor area of about 31,770 square metres, will feature state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities, including an integrated health centre, an interdisciplinary research centre, a versatile auditorium, multimedia lecture halls and classrooms, a library and a podium garden. Two barrier-free pedestrian footbridges will be accessible to the public and connect the new campus with the HKMU Main Campus and the Jockey Club Institute of Healthcare, providing convenient walkways between campuses while improving road safety for the University and the wider community. It is scheduled to commence operations in phases from the 2031/32 academic year.
